Product (Duram 195) description:

Duram 195 is a single pack, liquid applied, moisture curing, self leveling, waterproofing membrane which cures to form a seamless, tough, durable, elastomeric (class 3 ) waterproofing membrane. Duram 195 incorporates UV stabilisers, UV absorbers and anti-oxidants to enable the product to provide greater UV protection and stability than conventional aromatic polyurethane membranes. Duram 195 bonds well to most suitably primed building substrates and is suitable for above and below ground applications. Duram 195 is black in colour but will not bleed or stain tiles or grout as the product is tar and bitumen free. Duram 195 meets the ‘Green Star’ environment criteria.

Product (Duram 195) Uses:

Duram 195 is designed to waterproof most applications within the building and construction industry including: – Exposed Areas: Roofs, decks, terraces, balconies, podiums and gutters. – Tiled or Covered Areas: Shower recess & wet areas (floors and upturns), decks, balconies, terraces, podiums, retaining walls, planters & landscaped areas, structural slabs, tanks, pits, bunding areas and water features.

• Duram 195 is not designed for long term direct exposure to UV; it contains UV stabilisers for prolonged UV protection.
Where extended UV protection is required, Duram 195 should be top coated with Multithane ATC.
• Duram 195 is not designed as a trafficable membrane although infrequent maintenance foot-traffic is acceptable during
the construction phase.
• Duram 195 is not suitable for direct and prolonged contact with concentrations of chlorine above 10 ppm.
• Direct tile adhesion is not advised. Please note: for direct tile bond applications seek Duram technical advice.
• Duram 195 cannot be applied directly to damp surfaces as this will cause gassing and bubbling of the membrane.
• In exposed areas, Duram 195 must be coated with Duram Multithane ATC or covered.
• Duram 195 cannot be applied to slightly damp surfaces the product will not adhere. The surface must dry before the
membrane can be applied, freedom from surface water and continual dampness is essential.
• Important: Although the product incorporates UV stabilisers, UV absorbers and antioxidants to prolong its
serviceable life when exposed to sunlight, the product is an aromatic polyurethane and will slowly degrade in the
sun. It is therefore highly recommended that the product be overcoated with Multithane ATC which is an
aliphatic polyurethane formulated to withstand direct sun exposure. In combination, the system provides the
ultimate in long term waterproofing technology.
