Single Component, Water-Based, Low VOC Primer
TREMproof WB primer is a single-component, waterbourne primer designed to act as an adhesion promoting primer and to minimize absorption of the waterbased membranes into porous surfaces and prevent “green cracking” and other inconsistencies in the waterproof membrane.

Product Usage / Purpose

TREMproof WB primer is used on all concrete, masonry, fibre cement board and any other porous substrates prior to application of Tremco waterbased membrane applications.

Features & Benefits

  • Ultra low viscosity ensures the product migrates into the capillary tracks of the concrete, maximizing surface penetration.
  • Low VOC makes it more contractor friendly when used in areas where solvents may be an issue.
  • Water clean-up reduces the presence of solvents on a construction site and allows for easy clean-up.

Limitations

  • Not to be used as a coating/vapour barrier.
  • Not to be used on non-porous surfaces, especially steel, metal or smooth concrete.
  • When applied in enclosed areas, the cure rate of TREMproof WB primer will be dramatically decrease. As such, Tremco recommends adequate ventilation and air flow to promote sufficient drying times.
  • Storing or installing TREMproof WB in cool or high relative humidity environments will dramatically increase the time needed for the TREMproof WB to cure.
