First step in waterproofing is to know what type of waterproof membrane is right for your project. Most common waterproofing membranes available are as follows:

Polyurethane Oil Base – (Solvent Base) In a few words, Brush & Roll applied, Viscous, rubbery, highly flexible suitable for indoor, outdoor, under screed, under timber decks, under turfs and pebbles. Not to be used for direct tiling, painting, coatings etc.

Polyurethane Water-Based (Acrylic) Brush & Roll applied, 

Waterproof Membrane Selection:

It is best practice in wet areas to waterproof both under cement bed (Screed) & above screed.

Choose Duram Solvent based Polyurethane such as Duram 195 (Black) or Duram
