Aqua Mix Sealer’s Choice Gold PFAS-Free is a premium water-based penetrating sealer formulated for most porous natural stone, tile and grout. Its no-sheen formulation is designed to maintain the natural appearance of the surface while providing maximum stain protection.

The sealer is suitable for interior and exterior applications and allows moisture vapour transmission, helping maintain a breathable sealed surface. It is also suitable for use as a pre-grouting sealer.

Aqua Mix Sealer’s Choice Gold PFAS-Free is formulated without PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) and contains MICROBAN Antimicrobial. The water-based formulation is non-flammable, non-yellowing, low odour and UV resistant, with no VOCs as stated by the manufacturer.

It is suitable for use in food preparation areas and can be applied using a paint pad applicator, sponge, brush or airless sprayer. For dense, polished or honed surfaces, the manufacturer recommends lightly working the sealer into the surface with a white nylon scrub pad before absorption.

For maximum stain protection, the product is applied in two coats. Allow the sealer to penetrate for up to five minutes, or until it begins to dry, then remove excess product with a clean damp microfiber towel and buff dry with a dry microfiber towel. The second coat can be applied after a minimum of 30 minutes.

The surface should remain dry for 24 hours after application, with maximum stain protection achieved after 24 hours. Light foot traffic should not be permitted until at least 30 minutes after the final dry buff.

Always test a small, inconspicuous area with a 24-hour cure period before full application, as natural stone, tile and grout can vary in composition and porosity.

For ongoing maintenance, use a pH-neutral cleaner suitable for the sealed surface. High-alkalinity cleaners, harsh chemicals and steam cleaning are not recommended because they may negatively affect the longevity and stain resistance of the sealed surface.

• Do not allow the sealer to contact surfaces that are not recommended for the product.
• Always test a small, inconspicuous area before full application and allow a 24-hour cure period to confirm the desired result. Natural stone, tile and grout can vary considerably in composition and porosity.
• The sealer does not prevent surface wear or protect against etching caused by acids or caustic chemicals.
• On some polished or honed stones, visible residue may remain if the application procedure is not followed correctly. If the product is allowed to dry on the surface, visible residue may form.
• The surface must be dry, clean and free from waxes, existing sealers and finishes before application. New adhesives and grout should be allowed to dry for a minimum of 48 hours before sealing.
• Apply only when ambient temperature is between 10°C and 32°C unless otherwise directed by the manufacturer's Technical Services.
• Keep the surface dry for 24 hours after application. Avoid light foot traffic for at least 30 minutes after the final dry buff.
• High-alkalinity cleaners, harsh chemicals and steam cleaning are not recommended because they may reduce the longevity and stain resistance of the sealed surface.
• Protect the product from freezing during storage. If frozen, dispose of the product according to the manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet.
