Crystoflex is a high-performance, two-component waterproofing membrane that combines a polymer liquid with a cementitious powder. Mixed to form a brushable slurry, it cures to form a strong, flexible, and seamless coating that withstands hydrostatic pressure up to 25 metres. It is certified for contact with drinking water (AS/NZS 4020:2002) and meets Green Star environmental criteria.

Crystoflex: The Ultimate Cementitious Waterproofing Membrane for Concrete & Masonry

Professional-Grade Protection for Your Most Demanding Projects

As Australia's leading Waterproof Supplier, we are proud to offer Crystoflex, a premier two-component, polymer-modified cementitious coating engineered for permanent, flexible, and high-pressure structural waterproofing. This advanced slurry system is the trusted choice for architects, engineers, and builders across Australia who require a reliable, certified solution for critical water containment and protection projects. Its unique formulation bridges the gap between the robust physical protection of cementitious coatings and the dynamic flexibility of polymer membranes.

Unmatched Performance for Critical Applications

Crystoflex is specifically formulated to create a seamless, integrated barrier that actively resists hydrostatic pressure up to a massive 25 metres head (250 kPa). Once cured, it forms a tenacious bond with the substrate, ensuring long-term durability and protection against water ingress. Its certified compliance with the AS/NZS 4020:2002 standard for contact with drinking water makes it the unequivocal choice for potable water structures, giving you absolute peace of mind for projects where water quality is non-negotiable.

Engineered for Australian Conditions

From the high humidity of coastal regions to the temperature variations of the interior, Crystoflex is designed to perform. Its flexibility allows it to accommodate normal building movement and bridge non-structural hairline cracks, preventing the membrane from failing as structures naturally settle and shift over time.

Key Features & Technical Superiority

Certified Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Drinking Water Safe: Formally tested and certified to AS/NZS 4020:2002, ensuring it is safe for use in potable water tanks, reservoirs, and swimming pools.
  • Green Star Compliant: Meets the environmental criteria for sustainable building projects, helping you achieve Green Star ratings.

Superior Physical Properties

  • High Hydrostatic Pressure Resistance: Confidently withstands 25 metres of head pressure, ideal for deep tanks, below-ground structures, and retaining walls.
  • Excellent Flexibility & Crack Bridging: Its polymer-modified structure provides crucial elongation to bridge static cracks and handle substrate movement without compromising the waterproof seal.
  • Exceptional Adhesion: Bonds powerfully to properly prepared concrete, masonry, and cementitious substrates, creating an integral, long-lasting shield.

Practical Application Benefits

  • Suitable for Damp Surfaces: Application can proceed on damp substrates, reducing downtime and project delays—no need for bone-dry conditions.
  • Ready for Over-Coating: Provides a perfect key for renders, tile adhesives, screeds, and acrylic coatings, seamlessly integrating into the building process.
  • Ideal for Immersion Scenarios: Fully cures to a membrane that is perfectly suited for permanent water immersion.

Product Limitations

  • Not suitable for substrates with excessive movement or cracking; cracks over 1.6mm must be sealed independently.
  • Chlorine levels in treated water must be maintained below 6PPM to prevent membrane degradation.
  • Requires a sound, structurally stable substrate with a minimum compressive strength of 20MPa.
  • Not for use on surfaces subject to heavy abrasion or continuous foot traffic.
