Duram Primeseal MC: The Ultimate Epoxy Membrane for Damp Concrete & Complex Substrates

A High-Performance, Water-Based Epoxy Waterproofing Barrier

Duram Primeseal MC is a state-of-the-art, two-part, water-based epoxy waterproofing membrane that sets a new standard for versatility and performance. Its unique 'Moisture Cure' technology allows it to be applied to damp surfaces and even newly laid 'green' concrete, solving critical timing and moisture problems on construction sites. This product forms a tough, seamless, and hydrostatic pressure-resistant barrier, capable of withstanding a massive 25-meter head of water, making it an engineer's choice for the most demanding waterproofing applications.

Certified for Potable Water and Versatile Enough for Any Project

Certified to AS4020 for contact with potable water, Primeseal MC is the trusted solution for sealing drinking water tanks and reservoirs. Its utility extends far beyond tank lining; it is the ideal primer for subsequent membranes and coatings, and a revolutionary bridging coat that allows incompatible coatings to be applied over one another. It effectively seals bituminous surfaces and torch-on membranes, enabling re-waterproofing and top-coating without costly removal.

The Go-To Solution for Negative Side & Complex Waterproofing

Primeseal MC provides effective waterproofing from both the positive (outside) and negative (inside) sides of a structure. This is crucial for remediating leaking basements, retaining walls, and lift pits where external access is impossible. From concrete and masonry to timber, metal, and tiles, Primeseal MC delivers tenacious adhesion and a durable, non-re-emulsifying shield that protects assets for the long term.

Product Limitations

  • Low Flexibility: As an epoxy, it has low flexibility and is not designed to bridge live (moving) cracks or expansion joints.
  • Negative Side Waterproofing: While it can be used for sealing inside (negative) wall surfaces, this should only be done if waterproofing the outside (positive) surface is not feasible or accessible.
  • Application Temperature: Must be applied between 10°C and 35°C.
  • Curing Conditions: Temperature must exceed 10°C and relative humidity must be less than 85% for proper curing. Artificial ventilation and heating may be required in confined spaces.
  • Not for Heavy Traffic: It is not a permanently trafficable membrane and is only suitable for service or trade foot traffic.
  • Substrate Integrity: When used under hydrostatic pressure, the underlying surface must be and remain structurally sound and stable.
