TREMflex 50 – High-Performance, High-Movement Joint Sealant for Extreme Conditions

TREMflex 50 is a premium, one-part, low-modulus polyurethane sealant engineered to deliver reliable performance in the most challenging environments. Specially formulated to cure bubble-free even in high temperatures and humidity, it eliminates the common issue of sealant swelling and surface defects. With an exceptional joint movement accommodation factor of +/- 50%, it is the ideal choice for dynamic expansion and control joints in structures subject to significant thermal movement, wind sway, and seismic activity.

This versatile sealant offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates—including concrete, precast panels, masonry, and metal—often without the need for a primer, streamlining the installation process. Its stability during gunning and tooling across a wide temperature range ensures a smooth, professional finish every time.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • High Movement Accommodation: +/- 50% joint movement capability, making it suitable for the most dynamic expansion and control joints.
  • Bubble-Free Cure: Unique formulation prevents bubbling and swelling, even when applied in high heat and humidity.
  • Excellent Adhesion: Bonds strongly to concrete, precast, brick, block, and metal, often eliminating the need for a primer.
  • Extreme Temperature Performance: Remains elastic down to -40°C and resistant to temperatures exceeding 60°C.
  • Consistent Application: Guns and tools smoothly and consistently in both hot and cold weather conditions.
  • Durability & Resistance: Offers good chemical resistance and is microorganism & fungus resistant for long-term performance.
  • One-Part Convenience: Ready-to-use straight from the cartridge, requiring no on-site mixing.

Primary Applications:

  • Sealing Joints Under Waterproofing Membranes: Critical for podiums, balconies, and plaza decks.
  • Expansion/Control Joints in Concrete: Ideal for cast-in-place and precast concrete structures, parking decks, and civil works.
  • Perimeter Sealing: Sealing around precast panels, windows, and metal framing.
  • Industrial & Infrastructure Joints: Suitable for joints subject to vibration, thermal cycling, and structural movement.

Technical Advantages:

  • Movement: +/- 50%
  • Modulus: Low Modulus (flexible)
  • Service Temperature: -40°C to +60°C+
  • Cure Mechanism: Moisture-curing
  • Application Temperature: Can be applied in a wide range of climatic conditions

Why Choose TREMflex 50?
For engineers and contractors who cannot compromise on joint performance, TREMflex 50 provides a robust, weather-forgiving solution. Its ability to install cleanly in difficult climates and withstand extreme movement and temperatures ensures long-term seal integrity, reducing maintenance and call-backs.

Product Limitations

TREMflex 50 is not recommended for:

Use on glass, natural rubbers such as EPDM, PVC or TPO.
Use on bitumen will result in discolouration.
Allow to fully cure prior to installation of nearby silicones.
