Application & Usage Guide

1. Substrate Preparation

For successful adhesion, surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants like oil, grease, or loose particles.

• Concrete: Must be cured (min 20 MPa) with moisture content below 4.5%. Rough surfaces should be leveled, and 90° transitions should be modified to 45° cants.
• Metal: Surfaces should be sand-blasted to "Near White Metal" standards (AS1627.4).
• Cracks: Shrinkage cracks >1.6mm must be ground out, cleaned, and filled with an appropriate polyurethane sealant (like Dymonic 100) before the membrane is applied.

2. Priming

Vulkem H2 Rapid requires a primer on porous substrates.

• Use TREMproof WB Primer for general porous surfaces.
• Use TREMproof 200EC if a vapour barrier is required.
• Use TREMprime Non-Porous Primer for metal or PVC surfaces (such as puddle flanges).

• Requires protective covering (tiles, screed, or approved finish) - not trafficable as exposed surface
• Not suitable for below-grade applications or planter boxes
• Must not be applied to damp or contaminated substrates
• Not designed for permanent UV exposure or external weathering
• Requires proper priming on porous and non-porous substrates
• Not suitable for areas with constant water immersion
